Deborah Tamakloe

Growing up in care, Deborah developed a profound understanding of the challenges faced by children and youth in the foster care system. This personal experience fueled her passion for advocacy and social work, leading her to establish the Charis Touch Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young people transitioning out of care. She also founded the Ghana Care Leavers Network, a platform that provides resources, support, and a sense of community for care leavers in Ghana.

In addition to her advocacy and academic pursuits, Deborah is an accomplished author. She uses her writing to share stories and insights from her journey and raise awareness about care leavers' needs and potential. Her work continues to inspire and make a meaningful impact on the lives of many. Deborah is pursuing a master of social work degree at Dalhousie University -Canada.
