Riem Sokchamroeun (The Book of The Scars)
No one wants to be sick, especially ""CANCER"", but being sick does not mean that we have to lose everything, especially our hope in life. As long as I am still breathing, I have to fight to the end for myself and beloved one.
Going through the storm of life, the many stab wounds on my body became the sign to reminded me that, ""I am a strong woman and never give up easily!""
My name is Riem Sokchamroeun, I was born in Krouch Chhmar district, Kampong Cham province and I am the eldest daughter with six siblings. I am very lucky one to have my siblings who understand and always help each other with empathy. Nowadays, I am working as a COMPENSATION & BENEFITS MANAGER in the Human Resources Department of a private company. I got married in late 1997 and have three lovely sons. We always get along together closely like as friends.
In my spare time, I enjoy exercising with Aerobics, Zumba, or jogging. In addition, I love to listen to Dharma talks, meditate, and read books related to the development of ideas and novels. When I have the opportunity, I also spend times with my family in natural areas.
I have always dreamed of becoming a writer since I was a child, and now I have made my dream come true.
Unexpectedly. The Scars book is a knife to save my life as my first achievement after going through the experience of Breast Cancer.
I would like to thank all the loved ones who have shared their value times to me and filled in the missing gaps in my life. In addition, it helps to add more and more flavor and meaningful into my life, so that I able to continue and live with better hope, by providing the compassion, caring and also encouraging me to have the more abilities to swim through many obstacles in life.
