My name is Liliek Soelistyo. I am a senior lecturer at the Department of English, Faculty of Humanities and Creative Industries, Petra Christian University, Surabaya, Indonesia. I teach subjects such as Literary Genre, Science Fiction, Media Discourse and Film Analysis, and skill courses. I earned my Master's degree from the Department of English, University of Kansas, USA, and my Doctorate in Media and Cultural Studies from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

From June to August 2017, I was a recipient of the Taiwan Fellowship Program, conducting research in Taiwan. In July-August 2018, I was invited as a teaching fellow for the Asia Summer Program at Dongseo University, Busan, Korea. During the pandemic, I was again invited as a teaching fellow for the Asia Summer Program at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) from 16-29 August 2021.

Through my teaching experiences in these countries and while studying in Kansas, I discovered that students from various backgrounds struggle with analyzing English literature, especially when it is not their major. This motivated me to share my knowledge through videos, helping students worldwide gain understanding without spending excessive time and money. My aim is to provide easy-to-learn and comprehensible materials.
